Well here he is! Benjamin Paul Lashua. He came on time (June 8th) and is just as perfect as possible. But I’m not biased. When I last posted I still had to finish the bottom of the chair and put a panel on the back to conceal the original chair in the opening. I was able to knock this all out while my daughter and her husband spend two days in the hospital. I made the piping ahead of time as well as hemmed the skirt so I could spend as much time as possible holding Ben and playing with Addy. I kept it simple by only adding corner pleats to the skirt.
My daughter hired a photographer to come to the house to take some professional newborn pictures and I was fortunate to be able to have her take a few with this special chair. What do you think?
It’s been a busy few months since I first launched this website, with two moves and the birth of my second grandchild and almost weekly trips to our lake house. So needless to say, this business has taken a back seat for a moment. I’m getting anxious to get going though and am ready to take on any projects you might have. I just finished a chair for our lake house and am super thrilled with how it turned out (pics and post to come soon).
Until next time,
Denise
