Yesterday afternoon we went to a football game for my ten years old grandson. He just started playing football this year and you can just see the joy and excitement exuding from him after his games are over. Unfortunately we had to leave early as the heaven’s opened up and poured on us to the point of saturation. The game was stopped and rescheduled but he had so much fun playing in the rain and creating this core memory.
We were chilled to the bone and soaked when we left. I decided right then and there that it would be a perfect night for a Dutch oven dinner. I had just bought some stew meat so I quickly searched the internet for a 5 star recipe. Oh my goodness, let me just tell you. This one had so much flavor. So good.

We had just settled into watching the rest of East of Eden on Netflix so it was good that I could prep this meal and get it going so I didn’t have to get up and start dinner later on. It was already on its way and smelling so good.
This stew has all the components for a perfect dinner: meat, potatoes, vegetables and a sauce. But if you want to take it a step further, you can make some biscuits. I am not a good biscuit maker but I wanted some to crumble into the stew.
I found a simple recipe which worked out just fine in a pinch.
I’ve included a link to the recipe for the stew that I found from Midwest Foodie. You can get a a lot more details on the recipe if you want directly from her. I would definitely give it a 5 star rating.
This one is worth the 30 minutes or so of prep work to pull it all together but then you can sit back and enjoy the aroma.
Taste & See!
