What a year 2023 has been! It was a year full of milestones and challenges but we made it through to the other side.
Right off the bat on January 9th, my husband had open heart surgery to repair an aerobic aneurysm. (We just had the one year follow-up to that and he is doing great!) But it was a slow start to the year and one that would teach up both to slow down a bit.
We had much to celebrate after that beginning with my husband’s retirement from work, his 60th birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary. We took a trip to Mexico with our adult children, took a dream trip to Italy and then a long RV trip to northern Michigan and Minnesota.
All the while, work continued to keep me busy and occupied. It was a great respite and escape at times challenging me with new projects outside my normal scope of work.
Below are a few pictures of some projects from the past year. I have done more and more work for designers and so do not always get to see the final results installed, which is sad.

I’ve been busier in past years, but this was just enough for a busy year in my personal life. I stretched and learned a little more upholstery and drapery. It was just the right balance of work and life. I look forward to 2024 and learning even more new things.
Welcome 2024!
